Selldretti Drops New Single "Rock The Block" | @RealSelldretti

It’s been all about keeping it real from day one. Selldretti was just a young man when he first connected with the m-i-c. Ever since his older brother, rap-artist Marcus Muscogee, asked him to spit rhymes on a track he was working on, Selldretti was hooked on making music and the idea that his lyrics could make a meaningful impact on the world. He practiced, wrote songs & refined his talent as he took-in the influence of artists like Biggie, Tupac, Nas, Jay-Z, Curren$y and many more as he grew up…but it wasn’t his time…yet…After three years of active duty and a tour in Afghanistan as a soldier in the United States Army, he honorably completed his service to his country and went back to the music following his entry into the United States Military Academy.

Preparing for the release of his solo album “Back to the Boom”, the young rapper wanted to pay tribute to the Canadian rap group Ghetto Concept by putting his own twist to their hit single “Much Love” naming his new single “Rock The Block,” which is currently available for streaming on Itunes, Spotify, and Soundcloud. “I fell in love with the group’s smooth flow and ability to spit real rap that just had to send a salute to them. They, along with a handful of other MC’s that came from the 90’s era are the reason why I rap the way I rap,” says the Georgia rapper. With the industry transitioning towards what the majority calls “mumble rap”, Selldretti is determined to stay true to the root of real Hip-Hop and carry on the legacy that the legendary MC’s have created.
