Halo Ceasar was humbled when he received a message from one of his music fans. As so many rappers do, Halo writes music that is near and dear to his heart. Halo feels the need to stay true to his own story. He loves rapping because he believes it allows him to speak his truth. Like many other artists do, Halo writes his music getting inspiration from the music track. He usually creates his melody, then chorus, and later verses. He could never imagine that one of his songs would save a fan’s life.
One-day Halo checked his messages from his music lovers and friends when he came across a long DM that told the story of a fan that was going to commit suicide but didn’t. They explained then Halo’s song “God Flow” came on and they listened to it repeatedly. The lyric in Halo’s song helped the young person to deal with their current situation and choose life over death.
When asked; Halo had this to say “I’m always happy when my music can help someone. I write for my fans and if my music can save lives that’s even better.” “I hope that the music I create will continue helping people in difficult situations.” To protect the privacy of his fan Halo would not divulge their contact info, but he did share the direct message in hopes that it will be able to help others in the future.
"You're so welcome! No thank you. I played God Flow the night I had a life-threatening seizure and when I felt like my back was against the wall, and I wanted to end my life for being so sick all these yrs with this condition, it made me feel better. That song goes hard af Lol! I love it! You're a lyricist in my opinion. When I listen to your work, it isn't that mumble rap bullshit. You're talking about something.
You're making people feel something when they listen to you. That's the true mark of an artist. Be proud of who you are and where youR craft is gonna take you. Because of you, & your artistry, it saved me from making a huge mistake. Because I can live through what I went through and continue to blast your music where ever I go and know that I even met this wonderful man who made the song that essentially saved my soul. You're such a beautiful person both in and out from the little time I spent with you at my work that day. I will nvr forget it. Or you. keep going!"
